LaDarrien Gillette, originally from South Bend, Indiana, and now based in Atlanta, Georgia, holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Spelman College and a Master of Arts in International Law from Emory University.
With nearly a decade of experience, LaDarrien specializes in program design, strategy development, partnership cultivation, and resource mobilization for international nonprofits. She has advanced humanitarian and peacebuilding initiatives with leading organizations including CARE, UNICEF USA, and The Carter Center, where she contributed to global efforts in human rights, democracy strengthening, and humanitarian response.
Her career has been shaped by a deep passion for international development, gender equity, youth empowerment, and community revitalization. Beyond her technical expertise, LaDarrien is recognized for her ability to build cross-sector collaborations, secure funding, lead high-impact programs, and mentor emerging leaders in philanthropy and social justice.
